Job Summary: The purpose of this classification is to provide education and assistance pertaining to breastfeeding techniques. Duties and responsibilities include providing counseling and encouragement to new mothers, providing education about breastfeeding advantages and techniques, conducting hospital or home visits to maternity patients, instructing mothers on breast pump operations, weighing babies and monitoring weight gain, coordinating/conducting community educational events, maintaining equipment and supplies, preparing documentation and maintaining records, and performing other duties as assigned. Reports to the Breastfeeding Counselor/ Nutritionist.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; supplemented by training in breastfeeding techniques and training/educational techniques; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Bilingual preferred. Has personally breastfed at least one child. Must possess and maintain a valid Tennessee driver’s license.

|Chancery Court Clerk
Starting Salary: $9.50 per hour
The purpose of this classification is to perform secretarial/administrative work associated with providing support within the Rutherford County Chancery Clerk and Master’s Office. Duties and responsibilities include scheduling appointments, preparing and issuing orders of the court, assisting the public, attending Chancery Court, assisting the Judge or Chancellor in the courtroom, maintaining records, processing documentation and information, and performing other duties as assigned. Additional functions include checking daily, morning and late afternoon, for any pleadings submitted that are to be filed in case files that will be taken into the courtroom; filing all other pleadings in files located on the third and fifth floors; delivering court dockets and files to the various Judges’ offices, etc. Reports to either Deputy Clerk II or Deputy Clerk III.
Bachelor’s degree in addition to credit hours toward a Juris Doctorate Degree; supplemented by one (1) year previous experience and/or training involving legal office work, office administration, public interaction, and personal computer operations; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must have strong organizational skills, customer service skills and attention to detail. Must possess and maintain a valid Tennessee driver’s license.

Salary: $17.00 / hours
Job Summary: The School Traffic Safety Patrol person is responsible for the safe and orderly flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic within a designated school zone within Rutherford County. This position is considered part-time and seasonal; therefore, School Traffic Safety Patrol employees do not receive any employee fringe benefits. The working hours will be determined by the opening and closing times of the school to which the employee is assigned. The employee will be responsible through the chain of command to the Sheriff. This position is classified as Non-Exempt for the purposes of the Fair Labor Standards Act as having no significant occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and as Safety Sensitive.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have legal authorization to work in the United States. Must not have been convicted of or pleaded guilty to or entered a plea of nolo contendere to any felony charge or to any violation of any state or federal or city ordinances relating to force, violence, theft, dishonesty, gambling, liquor or controlled substances.
Applicants must be able to work 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon. The hour will range between 7-9 am and 2-4 pm. Applicants will not work more than 10 hours a week.
