|NCIC Clerk (Part-Time)
Department: Sheriff's Office
$11.00 / Hour
Hours: 20 hours per week
Job Summary: Operates National Crime Information Center (NCIC) to retrieve/update criminal information and motor vehicle/license records; enters, removes, confirms, and/or updates various data; run inquiries on data such as vehicle registrations, driver’s license records, criminal histories, warrants, stolen property, or missing/wanted persons; sends BOLOs and other messages; maintains records of NCIC validations; ensures integrity/security of data and adherence to NCIC requirement.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; personal computer operations; and any education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Operation of national/state criminal information systems requires possession and maintenance of valid N.C.I.C., T.C.I.C., T.I.E.S., and/or N.L.E.T.S. Terminal Operator certification.

Job Summary: The purpose of this classification is to perform clerical/administrative work associated with administration of county insurance plans and general office duties for the risk management office. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, greeting visitors, answering telephone calls, providing customer service, preparing or processing various department documentation, coordinating meetings, conducting research, compiling information and statistics, provide support functions for the administration of employee health/life insurance plans, communicating benefits to employees and distributing insurance materials, processing dependent verification paperwork, coordinating COBRA coverage including communication of benefits to employees and distributing materials, reconciling payroll deductions for insurances, processing documentation, and maintaining records. Reports to Risk Management Director.
Minimum Qualifications: College-degree preferred, may qualify with high school diploma or GED enhanced by college level course work or vocational training in office administration and personal computer operations; minimum of two (2) years previous experience and/or training involving all or any combination of the following: benefits, payroll or human resources administration, worker’s compensation administration, office administration, customer service, and personal computer operations; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess strong Microsoft office knowledge and ability; specifically with Microsoft Excel. Must possess and maintain of a valid Tennessee driver’s license.

Starting Salary: $42,232 - $45,356 / Year (commensurate with experience)
Job Summary: The purpose of this classification is to perform technical work associated with conducting inspections and surveys of new development in the county to ensure that roadways, drainage, detention/retention areas, and erosion control measures to meet applicable specifications and standards. Duties and responsibilities include inspecting road construction work, surveying construction sites, ensuring compliance with regulations and specifications, advising contractors of deficiencies and making corrective recommendations, preparing computerized or manual drawings of site surveys, maintaining records, or performing related tasks. The position is also responsible for maintaining awareness of NPDES standards and deficiencies. Reports to County Engineer.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; supplemented by five (5) years previous experience and/or training that includes surveying, road inspections, and road construction/maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid Tennessee driver’s license. Must possess and maintain valid Professional Licensed Surveyor certification.
